PeekRank

MCP server · beta

Connect PeekRank to your AI assistant

Ask Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client about your rankings, keywords and competitors — answered from your own PeekRank projects. You sign in with your PeekRank account: no key to copy, and you can revoke the connection any time.

Server URL
https://app.peekrank.io/mcp

Fastest: one command

Sets PeekRank up in every assistant on your computer — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and more. Each one asks you to sign in with PeekRank the first time you use it.

npx add-mcp https://app.peekrank.io/mcp -g -n peekrank

Needs Node.js. Uses the open-source add-mcp; add -a claude-code (or another agent) to pick only some.

Claude — web, desktop and mobile

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
  2. Name it PeekRank and paste the server URL above. Click Add.
  3. Click Connect, sign in to PeekRank, pick the workspace and what Claude can do, and approve.

Added once, PeekRank shows up in Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps — and in Claude Code when you're signed in with the same Claude account. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds it in Organization settings → Connectors, then each member clicks Connect. The Free plan allows one custom connector.

ChatGPT

  1. Turn on Developer mode: Settings → Security and login → Developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu).
  2. In Plugins, click + to create an app: name PeekRank, the server URL above, authentication OAuth.
  3. Sign in to PeekRank and approve. In a chat, pick Developer mode → PeekRank from the + menu.

ChatGPT asks you to confirm every billed tool before it runs.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user peekrank https://app.peekrank.io/mcp

Then sign in: claude mcp login peekrank in the terminal, or /mcp → peekrank → Authenticate inside Claude Code — your browser opens the PeekRank sign-in. --scope user makes it available in every project, not just the current folder.

Codex — CLI, IDE extension and desktop app

codex mcp add peekrank --url https://app.peekrank.io/mcp
codex mcp login peekrank

Codex opens the PeekRank sign-in as soon as you add it; the second command does it again whenever you need to (another account, an expired session). The Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the desktop app share this configuration.

Cursor

Add to Cursor
Or in ~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "peekrank": {
      "url": "https://app.peekrank.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Cursor asks you to sign in to PeekRank the first time it connects.

VS Code (GitHub Copilot)

Install in VS Code
Or from a terminal
code --add-mcp '{"name":"peekrank","type":"http","url":"https://app.peekrank.io/mcp"}'

VS Code opens the PeekRank sign-in when you start the server.

Other clients

Any MCP client with remote servers works (Windsurf, Zed, Gemini CLI, Goose…): add the server URL above as a streamable HTTP server. PeekRank uses standard MCP sign-in (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE; dynamic client registration and client ID metadata documents are supported), so the client opens the sign-in itself.

API key — scripts, CI and clients without sign-in

Owners and admins can create an API key in PeekRank → Settings → API keys (with its own per-call and daily limits) and send it as a header. Prefer signing in whenever your client supports it.

Authorization: Bearer lk_live_…

What it can do

Free — reads what PeekRank already stored: your projects, positions and 7-day changes, what changed this week, keyword history, weekly domain snapshots, saved research / overview / gap runs, and today's budget.

Billed — fetches fresh data (paid per call), only if you allowed it when connecting:

  • → keyword research · at most $0.10
  • → domain overview · at most $0.096
  • → live rank check · at most $0.031
  • → competitor gap (3 rivals) · at most $0.288

Costs & control

  • The assistant acts as you: your role and your projects apply, nothing more.
  • Every billed call states its price; the assistant has to accept it, and your client asks you first.
  • Each connection has a per-call and a daily limit set by the workspace's owners and admins, on top of its daily budget.
  • Everything an assistant spends is marked via MCP in Data & billing.
  • See and revoke connections any time in PeekRank → Settings → Developers & AI.
